Adverse health effects are prevalent in people suffering from episodic acute stress. It gets tough for people to change their lifestyle and then end up accepting stress as a part of life. They blame their woes on other people and external events. Also, resistance to change can lead them to a complicated life ahead.

3. Chronic Stress

Unlike acute stress, chronic stress destroys bodies, minds, and lives. It wreaks havoc through long-term attrition. It might stem from their issues of poverty, dysfunctional families, career, and unhappy marriage.

Unrelenting demands and pressures of situations never see a way out of their misery. Eventually, they get used to it. Chronic stress can be detrimental to health in a severe and long-term consequence.
